I am a 500-hour RYT yoga teacher, musician, mom, anatomy nerd, and lover of trees and all things nature. Soon after walking into my first yoga class in 2006, I began to notice a profound shift in my way of being – more calm, more presence, and a growing space for quiet self-reflection. Through yoga, I discovered how moving, breathing, and paying attention can help us meet life with greater ease. I welcomed this new sense of rhythm and balance, and it continues to shape both my practice and my life.
In 2010, I completed my 200-hour RYT certification, followed by my 300-hour training in 2015, studying with my friend and mentor, Jacqui Bonwell. Drawn deeply to the study of the body – its mechanics, systems, and interconnectedness – I developed an anatomy module and began co-facilitating 200-hour RYT programs through Jacqui’s Sacred Seeds Yoga School. My teaching is rooted in the belief that connecting with our movement and breath, and practicing moment to moment when possible, allows us to move with more awareness, confidence, and ease, no matter the circumstance.
Alongside teaching yoga, I’ve had the joy of weaving my love of music into my classes. I believe music can be a powerful and beautiful compliment to the practice, and I often play live for special acoustic yoga classes. My intention is to create a sense of calm and presence through rhythm and soothing sound. With my guitar in tow, I serenade classes throughout Greater Boston and beyond, holding the belief that as we breathe space into our hearts, we create room for joy, peace, and the healing sound of song to enter.
