Arm balances can be an exciting challenge, but starting an arm balance practice can also be intimidating. Demystify arm balances and gain confidence in your efforts with this workshop!

Intro to Arm Balances is for anyone looking to explore adding arm balances into their regular practice. With a heavy focus on technique, we will also cover how arm balances may be effectively taught in a public class. Continuing education credits are available for Registered Yoga Teachers looking to expand their teaching repertoire.

Arm balances build upper body strength, support joint stability, and hone mental focus. We will learn techniques to safely approach arm balances in your regular practice. This class will walk you through skills to develop the strength and alignment required for successful arm balancing, draw your attention to the key muscles used, and give you step-by-step instructions for some of the most common arm balances.  Come fly!

BENEFITS OF PRIVATE INSTRUCTION:

Individualized Attention
Private lessons allow your instructor to get to know you and your body better so you can create a practice that is tailored to your needs, and safe for your body.

Accelerated Learning
Receiving more detailed instruction means you may “progress” at a quicker rate in whatever way that is relevant to your practice.

Adaptable for Everyone
No matter what your skill level or abilities, your instructor will adapt your private sessions to meet you where you’re at so you can get the most out of your time together.

Privacy
Sometimes, practicing with other people you don’t know can feel intimidating at first. Private sessions can help to ease you into a class setting so you feel more comfortable.

Physical Benefits for Recovery
Yoga and Pilates are great for helping with recovery from a sports injury (as long as you get clearance from your Physical Therapist and/or Doctor to add these to your routine). With the individual attention of a private session, the outcome may greatly improve how you perform in your sport or other activities.
