Jackie Farrell
Jackie Farrell is an adaptive yoga teacher who truly believes that anyone can do yoga. Her classes offer clear instruction, options to adapt poses to meet individual needs and integration of props to enhance the experience of the practice. She strives to empower students to listen to the wisdom of their own body so they can leave class feeling more grounded, present and at ease in their body.
Jackie first became a student of yoga during her undergraduate studies in Boston and loved the way yoga and mindfulness helped her connect with her body. She became inspired to teach others and while in graduate school in 2013 completed her 200-hour certification under the direction of Lynne Begier, Caitlyn Visconte and Ryan Cunningham through Back Bay Yoga. She was immediately drawn to how yoga can be modified to be accessible to individuals of various ability levels, however felt that the ability to adapt yoga within public classes was lacking. She pursued additional training in adaptive and accessible yoga through Matthew Sanford of Mind Body Solutions, Accessible Yoga School and the LoveYourBrain Foundation and has completed over 200 hours of training in making yoga accessible. She also has training in trauma-informed yoga, restorative yoga and yoga and mindfulness for nervous system regulation.
