Lauren Anderson Oliver, RYT-500 Yoga Instructor

Lauren Anderson Oliver is an experienced yoga teacher and yoga therapist dedicated to guiding and empowering individuals to come home to their bodies with a spirit of loving kindness. Lauren began her yoga journey in 2008, drawn to its physical challenge as a complement to other athletic pursuits. Like so many others, she realized quickly that yoga had tremendous power to transform her body, but also her nervous system, and she turned to yoga as a way to connect to her inner strength in times of personal challenge, including with chronic pain.

In 2016, she completed her 200-hour teacher training with Yoga of Energy Flow under the expert guidance of Daniel Orlansky and Liz Owen, and never looked back. After teaching at various studios and making several moves, Lauren settled in Acton in 2019. Lauren then went on to complete her 300-hour Yoga, Ayurveda, and Trauma-Informed teacher training with Indra Yoga Institute. The lessons from her incredible teachers Anita Sundaram, Sandhiya Ramaswamy, Dr. Manoj Chalam, Dr. Cre Dye, Dr. Haunani Chong Drake, Susan Tutino, and Angela (Dharma) Fears continue to inspire and guide her on her path. Lauren also received her certification in Yoga Therapy from Breathing Deeply School of Yoga Therapy under Brandt Passalacqua’s guidance, and considers Yoga Therapy to be not only her career, but her calling. It is with a deep bow of gratitude that she honors her teachers for the lasting impact they have had on her life.

As a yoga therapist, Lauren focuses on supporting individuals dealing with chronic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Her yoga classes are characterized by mindfulness, creative sequencing, breathwork, and meditation, and she strives to create a nurturing environment for self-study and empowerment. She holds additional certifications in prenatal and postnatal yoga as well as yin.
