Pilates focuses on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength and centered breath. The practice concentrates on posture, balance, and flexibility with focused breath. This class is organized in a way that provides an accessible approach making it perfect for beginners, as well as regular practitioners. We will practice on the mat, and at times with use exercise balls, yoga straps, blocks and blankets. Benefits of Pilates include strengthening muscles groups such as the core, glutes, legs, and upper body, relieves tension from shoulders, back and spine, compliments yoga classes provides cross-training with other activities, and enhances mindful awareness.
