Yoga Nidra or Yoga Sleep is one of the deepest and most profound meditations one can experience.

As you are guided into a deep but conscious relaxation you are able to access and release samskaras (innate tendencies, impressions created by previous actions or thought).  Traditionally, Yoga Nidra was used to reach enlightenment.  Today, it is most often used therapeutically. In this workshop, you will begin by exploring the samskaras that are most present in your life, create a sankalpa (a vow or conscious intention to support and abide by your highest truth) and then drop into a full 45-minute yoga nidra experience! The room will be filled with powerful healing energy and hands on assists will be offered to those who would like it.

Please note: One’s temperature tends to drop during meditation… if you are prone to being cold please bring extra layers to keep yourself comfortable.

Erin LoPorto

Erin LoPorto, IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 

Erin found her home in yoga the moment she first practiced in 2001. She experienced such personal healing and transformation over the years from the 8-limbed path that she has felt inspired to pass the knowledge on.  Yoga is not only her passion but her full time profession. Erin completed a two-year internship at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health where she was able to study with world leaders in the fields of yoga, Ayurveda, energy healing, meditation and the mind-body connection.  She is certified teacher of Kripalu Yoga, PranaFlow and TriYoga Therapy. Having collected over 1000 hours of training in Yoga Therapy, Erin was one of the first Yoga Therapists Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and has been a practitioner since 2012. 

Erin is also a talented bodyworker holding Reiki I and II, Multi-Dimensional Transformational Healer and Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Massage certifications.  Additionally, Erin studied somatic expressive therapy through the Leven Institute and has a particular interest in trauma treatment. She has been teaching yoga at Walden Behavioral Care for Eating Disorders since 2013 and Revolution Community Yoga since it first opened in 2012. To her classes, yoga therapy and bodywork, Erin brings a playful, intuitive and compassionate spirit.

Her classes range from powerful yoga flows to the still style of yin and restorative yoga.  She offers clear instruction and options for everyone. Erin’s bodywork is made of powerfully deep tissue work and an intuitive energetic touch. Her private sessions unfold organically to meet the needs of each individual. Keri Straka

Keri Straka, Yoga Instructor

Coming from a background in sculpture with a Master of Fine Art in ceramics, Keri has always been interested in how the human body works. As an avid yogi, and enthusiastic lifelong learner, s he has been teaching Yoga since 2015 in the Greater Boston area. Keri completed Her 200 hour & 300 hour yoga teacher training with Jacqui Bonwell’ Sacred Seeds Yoga School. She holds an additional 300 hour certification from Down Under School of Yoga.

Keri is also a certified Radiant Child Yoga Teacher (level I&II), a Yin Yoga instructor, a level II Reiki healer, and a 50 hour certified “Aireal” yoga instructor. Keri specializes in teaching all levels vinyasa and Aerial yoga classes that are centered on cultivating healthy and safe functional movement. With this foundation, practitioners in her classes create an awareness of how to shift stagnant patterns to create deeper physical harmony. Keri is motivated by curiosity, creativity and compassion for the individual human experience. Her classes are playful, lighthearted, and accessible to all.
