This yoga class is specifically designed to complement your running routine. You’ll target the muscles most engaged during running as you move through dynamic stretches, focused mobility flows, and calming poses to aid in muscle release. Yoga for runners helps to increase flexibility, promote relaxation, and maintain a balanced body, which supports better running performance and faster recovery.

Emily Putzig
Emily Putzig has been a yoga instructor in the Boston area for the past 6 years. She originally sought yoga out as a way to make time for stretching after volleyball practice and running marathons, but quickly fell in love with the practice itself and the community that came with it. Wanting to share her love for yoga with others, she completed her 200-hour teacher training at Corepower Yoga in Cambridge in the Winter of 2016. Emily quickly became ingrained in the Cambridge yoga community by leading subsequent teacher trainings in Vinyasa Flow and restorative yoga. Her favorite way to teach has been to her fellow run club friends outdoors after a long run! While off the mat, she is a Kindergarten teacher in Acton and seeks to bring the same positivity, encouragement, and curiosity she brings to her classroom into the yoga studio. Check out Emily’s classes on the RCY Schedule!
