“Revolution Community Yoga in Acton, MA centers and honors Patanjali’s Sutras and teachings. Our instructor Cindy Boulter was incredibly dedicated, thorough, and compassionate with us. It was a beautiful life-changing experience. I highly recommend the Teacher Training Program there to friends and family.” ~ Paulo, 2023 Graduate
“Cindy’s 200hour YTT training was life-changing for me. She has so much knowledge in so many areas. It is such a comprehensive course. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to expand their yoga knowledge or become a teacher!” ~ Valerie, 2023 Graduate
“This is a thorough, supportive, evidence-based school that provides a well-rounded approach to yoga teacher training. Careful attention is paid to both the physical and philosophical components of teaching, with the utmost respect given to the tradition as well as to the individual practitioners. I am happy to now be a yoga teacher, but I am sorry my training is over! Everyone who wants to learn to teach yoga deserves to have a certification program like this one.” ~ Meaghan M., 2022 Graduate
“I was so moved at the closing circle, listening to how each of us has been transformed by this experience… There was magic in this specific gathering of souls, at this specific time in life.“ ~ Nancy H., 2022 Graduate
“Completing the teacher training at RCY is the best thing I have ever done for myself. At the start of the program, I felt quite insecure and held a lot of doubts about my ability to become a yoga teacher and take in all the information we were about to learn. But Cindy created this amazing safe, honest, genuine and compassionate space for us to learn in, meeting us all where we were and working from there. The whole time I felt supported by not only Cindy, but my wonderful classmates. We became this little unit together, on this journey to delve deep into the yogic path and our inner selves.
The program focuses on yoga anatomy and asana (physical) yoga practice, as would be expected. But it also delves deep into the other 7 limbs of yoga, the yoga teachings and yogic philosophy. At the same time that we were becoming skillful teachers and practitioners, we were also growing on a spiritual level and understanding the importance of yoga both on and off the mat.
There are also quite a few additional teachers throughout the training who focus on various aspects, delving deep into inversions, chakras, assists and anatomy.
I feel very well prepared to start teaching, which would have been hard to imagine just nine months ago. I have come away with not only tools to teach asana practice, but also knowledge and tools from the other 7 limbs of yoga that will better my life and those around me. I could not be more pleased with this experience, which exceeded all my expectations and has changed my life forever.” – Melissa, 2019 Graduate
“This journey has been truly amazing! The depth and breadth of knowledge that Cindy and all the instructors have is awe-inspiring. I enrolled in the RCY 200-hour certification teaching training to deepen my practice and I received so much more. The anatomy is beyond what many receive in 300-hour courses and has been tremendously helpful. Having fabulous guest lecturers, learning the history of yoga as well as the study of Buddhist dharma and Patanjali’s yoga sutras, exploring meditation practice and chanting were just some of the many highlights from the course. I would recommend this course to anyone regardless of whether or not you decide to teach.” – Dara, 2019 Graduate
“I recommend, without reservation, the Revolution Community Yoga’s 200-hour yoga teacher training with Cindy Boulter. Cindy is a highly credentialed teacher, with vast amounts of knowledge and experience in yoga and other fitness disciplines. Cindy has a warm, encouraging and accessible teaching style. And! She’s a lot of fun to be around! In addition to learning from Cindy, guest teachers Jacqui Bonwell and Theresa Murphy reinforce the anatomy and Yoga Philosophy lessons and give students access to additional perspectives and styles. Seeing our class transform from Students to Teachers under Cindy’s guidance was an incredible experience. Sign up! You won’t regret it!” – Deirdre
“This teacher training course is an absolute game changer! A warm, welcoming environment, teachers that are the very best in the field, complete anatomy training, sequencing training, training to assist and develop an “eye” to truly see your students as you teach, and plenty of time to student teach all await you in this course. You will be supported in a heart-centered training that encourages you to express how you are feeling and where you want to go. This course has given me the essential tools to teach, develop sequences, and help my students in every way possible. Not interested in teaching? No problem. You will be able to use the tools in this course to enhance your personal practice, as well as develop your yoga into more than just a physical practice. No matter what you want to do, you cannot go wrong by taking this course!” – Valerie
“This program is stunning. Cindy Boulter is inspiring, nurturing, caring, and kind. Her expertise in the fields of anatomy and physiology and her unique approach to safe and functional body movement, not to mention the equally incredible guest teachers and programs she brings in throughout, is mesmerizing and really sets this 200 hour apart from every other training out there. What I will take away most from this program is a strong understanding of not only how each Asana works in different bodies, but how EACH DIFFERENT BODY can work through asana. This program is all-encompassing — from yogic philosophy and Sanskrit; anatomy and physiology; plenty of time to practice teaching and finding your voice; to learning proper alignment and variations for hundreds of postures, and sequencing. Thus is so much MORE than your average 200 hour YTT. I would recommend it to anyone, whether looking to teach yoga or deepen their practice; as well as to those who already hold a certification. You will learn so very much about what this thing we call yoga can really be!” – Alisa
