300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

Deepen your practice of yoga asana and anatomy, broaden your knowledge of yoga philosophy, and develop your teaching skills in a supportive, educational environment. In this twelve session, 300 hour teacher training, the emphasis is on the subtle body and learning how to work one on one with students for maximum effect. Time is also dedicated to understanding the advanced practices and narratives that comprise the ancient tradition of yoga, while keeping a pragmatic approach for the modern student.

Program Structure & Schedule

Meeting long weekends:
Fridays 5 – 9pm • Saturdays 9am – 6:30pm • Sundays 9am – 5:30pm

Plus 32 additional hours with Cindy & Theresa:
8 hours practice time with each and 8 hours observation (at your leisure, see Cindy’s & Theresa’s websites for offerings)

Practicum:
study, discuss, prepare, and teach a 6 week therapeutic lesson plan for a chosen client, pro-bono, include pictures and summary

Prerequisites

• Previous completion of an approved 200 hour yoga teacher training program
• Completion & submission of the application for this program
• Established, consistent asana practice for at least three years
• Established daily meditation practice
• Open mind, open heart, and willingness to explore both within and beyond your usual territories

Instructors

Theresa Murphy, BA, ERYT 500, RYS 200 & 300, & C-IAYT Yoga Therapist
Theresa has been teaching for 26 years and training teachers for 22.  Her deepest intention in teaching yoga is to expand minds, open hearts, and to be a catalyst for discovering the wisdom and wonder of an embodied life.  She cross-pollinates from many traditions, weaving the crafts of individualized alignment, skillful sequencing, therapeutics, breath-work, developmental movement, anatomy study, wisdom teachings, meditation, chanting, and open exploration of physical and mental awareness.  Theresa is a Yoga Therapist, senior Prajna teacher under Tias Little and the Prajna school, as well as an endorsed Insight Yoga teacher with Sarah Powers and mentor in the Insight Yoga Institute.  Theresa wholeheartedly devotes herself to practice.  With over a quarter century of study and practice she has made her life’s work a balance of teaching the Yoga Dharma, caring for the dying, supporting babies and caregivers, and ongoing studies with Amy Matthews and Jennifer Welwood.  Her current studies are to become a Somatic Movment Educator & Infant Developmental Movement Educator through The School of Body-Mind Centering. www.theresamurphy.net

Cindy Boulter, B.Sc., ERYT 500, ACE, SUP & C-IAYT Yoga Therapist
Cindy is committed to helping teachers, students and private clients expand their possibilities through education, movement and self-exploration. She has over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry as an instructor and international presenter, and over 16 years’ experience teaching yoga and training yoga teachers. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, has studied extensively with numerous teachers and programs, including Yoga Therapeutics and client supervision group with Dr. Bo Forbes, and she is currently training to become an IAYT certified Yoga Therapist with Susi Hately and a Licensed Somatic Educator with Amy Matthews. Cindy’s seminars and workshops have been presented throughout Canada, the US and Japan. She has assisted and taught classes at Kripalu for Bo’s sessions on Yoga for Anxiety and Depression and has taught 6 years of 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Tuition

Early Bird Registration: $3,750 paid in full by November 1, 2022.
Late Registration:  $3,950 paid in full after November 1, 2022.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due upon applying for the program. If you are not accepted into the program your deposit will be returned.

Attendance Policy

3 full days of curriculum can be missed without any need for make up. You are responsible for the subject matter, acquiring notes, and homework completion. Additional time missed must be made up.
