Hello RCY Community!

2016 New Year Challenge
The New Year Challenge will be over after tomorrow – the winners of the great raffle prizes will be contacted directly. I hope the “Challenge” was motivating and fun! It seems ironic that we call this a “challenge” when it’s really about coming in taking care of yourself… how is it that such a thing has become a challenge?! When things get crazy, and you feel you need to forego whatever your wellness practices are to take care of more pressing matters, those are precisely the times when you need those wellness practices most.

“I really regret going to yoga today.” — said no one ever!

West Acton Villageworks
As I’m sure you have seen, our new next door neighbors are starting to move in, and West Acton Villageworks (http://www.westactonvillageworks.com/) is finally coming to life! Hopefully the improved parking situation is making life easier, too. There are lots of terrific businesses moving in next door, and we are especially excited that Revolution Community Bodywork (http://massageacton.com/) is nestling into its new home at Wellness at Villageworks (http://www.wellnessvw.com/) with a number of other wellness-based practitioners – make sure to check them out on the web site.

Opportunities for Giving Back
Revolution Community Yoga is proud to have teams that support two different fundraising efforts annually. We would be honored for our students to join us in either or both of these efforts:

It is, of course, not expected that our members will donate money or time to either of these charities. Please consider them opportunities for what we call “seva” in the yogic tradition – a service which is performed without any expectation of result or award for the person performing it.

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Is Coming to RCY!
I am so excited to announce that RCY will be offering a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training beginning in Sept. 2016! The program’s Lead Instructor is Cindy Boulter, BSc., ERYT 200, RYT 500, Yoga Therapeutics. Cindy has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and has been teaching Yoga since 2003. Cindy is passionate about running a program where students will graduate truly ready to teach safe, mindful & healing Yoga. The program will be joined by guest teachers Jacqui Bonwell, Theresa Murphy and Jay Atwi. For the anatomy component, we’ve partnered with World-Renowned Yoga educators and best-selling authors of “Yoga Anatomy” Leslie Kaminoff & Amy Matthews in using their cutting edge on line Anatomy course: YogaAnatomy.net Fundamentals. This will be a top-notch program right in your own back yard! Learn more at http://yogaacton.com/200-hour-yoga-teacher-training/.
