Join Dr. Ratti Handa, D.M.D. and Jen Mast, L.I.C.S.W, E-RYT-500 for an Educational and Experiential Workshop Highlighting The Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment of the Effects of the Airway, Jaw and Breath on the Whole Body System.

This Workshop Will Explore:
* The role of jaw size, tongue and fascia in airway development and tools/practice for assessment
* The role of the autonomic nervous system as it relates to airway health and parasympathetic rebalancing practices
* Importance of nasal hygiene and practical techniques to support better nasal function
* Experiential myofunctional, myofascial, and yoga exercises for airway, jaw, neck, face and vagal nerve stimulation
* Yoga and breathwork practices for dental visits
* Resources and research supporting the importance of airway health as it relates to sleep, pain, and whole body balance

I have been practicing dentistry for the last 25 years. I always loved what I did, but it’s only in the last 6 years that I saw my truest passion ignite. I was fortunate enough to get energized at a wonderful airway dentistry seminar and hear the speaker’s journey through the healing he eventually helped his son Jake receive.

I came home and found my two “Jake’s”, aka my two sons, and the journey towards breath and better airway function hasn’t stopped since.
I’ve been down several rabbit holes of figuring out and learning more and more. It’s like drinking from a fire hose. Learning the intertwining between several modalities outside of dentistry has been eye opening. Once you see you can’t unsee!

What has also been so integral is to understand that while there is so much to learn, discover and nuance with, it is also important to come back to breath. Those pauses of reflection and internal alignment are key to taking this wonderful approach to breathing well out to the world. Breathing is our birthright and our nourishment . Namaste

Jen Mast, L.I.C.S.W., E-RYT-500
I have worked at Revolution since 2014. Forever a student, I am constantly seeking out training and mentors to learn and grow with who align with my desire to help people move better, breathe better and feel better. Jen completed her 300-hour at Kripalu with Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) in 2016 where she trained under Joseph and Lillian LePage and Maria Mendola (Integrative Functional Yoga Therapy). Jen furthered her study and attended an intensive training with Maria in Tucson, learning various techniques for myofascial release, therapeutic movements and exercises to rebalance alignment and long held patterns. In 2018, Jen completed a training in The Roll Model Method® and a Ball Rolling Techniques Workshop with David Vendetti – both for myofascial release. Her extensive work with athletes, the mature population, injuries and chronic illness in both group and private settings inform her teaching style which infuses safety, mindfulness, alignment principles, unique uses of props and functional therapeutic movements, and of course a lot of humor and fun! Through the pandemic, Jen has continued to train and deepen her own practice with Susi Hately, Functional Synergy™ and a Monthly Mentor Workshop with Jill Miller, Roll Model Method™.
