My yoga journey started by signing up for a prenatal yoga class. As someone who struggled with anxiety, I quickly found that time spent in yoga class was a much-needed peaceful escape. My practice has evolved and changed over the years as things do, and I always felt that draw to keep exploring. I lost myself in motherhood as a mom of two for a few years and found my way back into a heated yoga class and fell in love with yoga again.
During my journey through the heated yoga classes, an old horseback riding injury began to surface. After surgery and much healing, I cautiously found my way back again, worried that I might re-injure myself. But I found some really amazing teachers who truly taught me yoga, all 8 limbs of yoga. I began to listen and hear my body for the first time in my life and started learning more about all of yoga’s benefits. My 200-hour teacher training was completed in 2023 with Cindy Boulter at Revolution Community Yoga.
I would call my teaching style inclusive and positive. I aim to teach people to listen to their own bodies and learn their range of motion, so they may truly benefit from their practice and grow in their own self-knowledge. My time off the mat is spent with my family camping, hiking, and gardening.
