While much of a vinyasa yoga class is based on poses where your core is integral, many times we can find ourselves just going through the motions.  In this class, there’s a guarantee of many core-focused vinyasa sequences, but we’ll also break down a few common poses which we tend to gloss over.  This class aims to get your heart pumping while bringing a renewed awareness to our ‘core’ practice.  And while we break a sweat, let’s keep ourselves motivated with a fun combination of funk, reggae and soul music.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation adds quality of life to children with cancer by providing them with exciting, positive group activities, so they may once again do what kids are supposed to do . . . have fun and celebrate life!

shannon-boeckelman2About Shannon Boeckelman
Shannon began practicing yoga 12 years ago in Lake Tahoe, CA and continued to do so as she moved around the country to San Francisco, NYC and Massachusetts.  Initially drawn to the positive effects that stretching & flexibility could have on the other sports in her life (snowboarding, spinning & running) she fell in love with the mental and physical challenges yoga introduced.  Throughout her journey, she realized she wanted to take her love of yoga to the next level and completed her 200 HR yoga certification in 2014 at YogaWorks Back Bay in Boston. Her focus is teaching safe and challenging classes that allow students to become more in-tune with their minds and bodies and inspire a strong, life-long practice.
