When used skillfully, Hands-on Assisting can enhance your students understanding of their bodies in yoga, offering stability, awakening and ease.

In this 7 hour Intensive you will learn:

  • How to apply the Science Behind Assisting, Alignment and Kinesiology
  • How to tap into your innate healing touch
  • How to cultivate the awareness to really “see” your students and what they need to find ease in the postures
  • How to use touch safely, skillfully and with confidence

Suitable for new or experienced teachers or curious yogi’s who want to learn more about how the body moves.

Cindy Boulter, BSc. ERYT 500, Yoga Therapeutics, ACE Certified
Cindy is committed to being a life- long student of yoga and is a seeker of knowledge. She has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and has been teaching Yoga since 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, and has studied extensively with numerous teachers, completing over 1500 hours of training, including training in Yoga Therapeutics and Kinesiology with Susi Hately, Yoga Therapeutics with Dr. Bo Forbes ,Yin Yoga and meditation with Sarah Powers in Thailand, and Anatomy with Amy Mathews and Lesli Kaminoff. She also has assisted and taught classes at Kripalu for Bo’s sessions on Yoga for Anxiety and Depression. Cindy’s seminars and workshops on making the most of life through communication, yoga and fitness have been presented throughout Canada, the US and Japan, and she has taught 5 years of 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings . She is eternally grateful for all the amazing teachers and students she has been so fortunate to study with.

Jay Atwi, RYT 500, LMT
Jay was introduced to yoga in 2007. Ever sense his first yoga class and his yoga trainings he was interested in knowing the body and how the body moves naturally. Jay graduated from Clark University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and recently received his license in massage therapy. Jay is Baptiste certified and completed his 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training w/ Jacqui Bonwell. He also completed the Baptiste assistant/alignment training (art of assisting and advanced art of assisting) and continued several phases of more personalized training to assist in live classes. Jay assisted at the Baptiste studios for three years and progressed to train at different yoga teacher trainings around New England. In his massage therapy training he expanded his education about the human anatomy and physiology, human pathology, and the different type of massage modalities.
