Moves to Mondays at 7:15 – 8:15pm (last 15 minutes are optional)

This evening meditation session begins with a brief gentle yoga warm-up and continues with 40 minutes of guided sitting and walking meditation. There’s time after the formal meditation period to reflect on our experience and to ask questions. “Beginner’s mind” is the practice, and all are welcome!

Emily Wheeler Jan 2014 (2)Emily Wheeler is a teacher and student of Raja Ashtanga Yoga. This royal (Raja) path has eight limbs, including postures, breath, focus, and meditation. For Emily, yoga offers a comprehensive way of life whose center is calm. Her practice integrates body, mind, and spirit through breathwork and vinyasa flow. Off the mat, Emily is drawn to the outdoors and taking pictures. She likes the way photography, like yoga, helps her to be present and to pay attention.
