Please join us for a special donation-based Sunset Restorative class on Mother’s Day, May 9 at 7:00PM. As Western practitioners of yoga, we honor yoga’s roots and join together to support India during a time of crisis. Your donation will go to Oxfam India, an organization that provides PPE in government buildings including hospitals, provides access to vaccinations, reaches out with food for vulnerable communities, and so much more.

Based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, restorative yoga is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves passive holds often supported by props. Please plan to have 2 pillows or a bolster, a blanket, and 2 blocks or books available for practice.

Please send donations to Venmo: @Valerie-Kacian or donate directly to

Valerie Kacian
Valerie started her yoga practice in 2001 shortly after the birth of her daughter. Initially seeking balance to round out a heavy cardio fitness routine, she received more gifts from the practice than she could ever imagined. It was from day one on the mat that she knew she would teach and share these gifts with others. She has a special interest in working with students within their own range of motion tapping into pure, functional movement in the body. Valerie believes that anyone can practice and experience the great benefits of yoga. She uses a whole-hearted approach to encourage her students to connect deeply to movement within their own bodies. Valerie teaches prenatal yoga, Hatha yoga, Baby & Me Yoga, vinyasa flow, and restorative. Valerie completed her 200 hour YTT in May, 2018 with Cindy Boulter and completed prenatal training in April, 2018 with Lorraine Shedoudi at Revolution Community Yoga. Additional training includes Reiki I, Trauma-Informed Teacher Training, Restorative Teacher Training, and various workshops addressing back and pelvic health. In 2019 she continues her studies undergoing a six month apprenticeship with Jacqui Bonwell, as well as advanced prenatal teacher training at Down Under School of Yoga.
