In this three hour Svaroopa® Yoga class, give yourself time to rest while creating length and space in your spine. Learn how to use your abdominal muscles in a whole new way and start to dissolve the inner blocks that keep you from your own radiant Self. End with an extra long Shavasana.
Svaroopa® Yoga is an asana based practice that focuses on releasing the tension in the muscles attached to your spine. Using props and supports we focus on specific angles and alignments to create deep change in your body, mind, and more.
This class is not appropriate for anyone with the following: any trimester pregnancy (at the time of the class), history of organ transplant, significant low back issues or major digestive issues, chronic pain, major surgery within 3 months. Prior yoga experience is helpful but not required.

Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher
Kris explored several styles of yoga for years before finding Svaroopa® yoga in 2007 during some health challenges. She found it to be exactly what she needed in body, mind, and spirit and has now been practicing for 10 years. A Registered Nurse by profession, she never considered teaching yoga, but her teacher encouraged her to go to training. After a few years and a difficult life transition, in 2011 she enrolled in teacher training at Master Yoga Foundation (now the Svaroopa® Vidya Ashram), under the direction of Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati (formerly Rama Berch). She started teaching immediately and found she loved it. She completed the program as a Certified Svarooopa® Yoga teacher at the 500 hour level in 2014. Kris continues to work full time as a nurse, and teach yoga. In addition to teaching classes, she is currently working toward her certification in Svaroopa® Yoga Therapy and works with people individually to alleviate pain and stress. She loves watching how this style of yoga is transforming people’s bodies, minds, and lives.
