A lifelong competitive swimmer and athlete, Rike began consistently practicing yoga in 2018 after dealing with a number of sports injuries. Pushing her body had taken a toll and she was sick of being in pain. Through skillful instruction from a variety of teachers, Rike found freedom and relief in learning how to move safely within a limited range of motion. Learning how to quiet the mind and tune in to the body’s needs was an integral part of this transformation.
Rike believes that yoga is for everyone, not just for athletes. She works with students to help improve functional movement and foster fuller range of motion, wherever their starting point. In addition to yoga, Rike still swims and she loves to be outdoors. She lives in Westford with her husband, daughter, and pets. Rike completed her 200 Hour YTT training with Cindy Boulter at Revolution Community Yoga in May 2020.
