Join Jen Mast for a 12-Hour Deep Dive into the Myofascial System.
Let’s begin to unwind and understand our unique, interconnected myofascial system. Self-myofascial release (SMFR) is self-massage performed by an individual using tools such as balls, rollers, and other props that provide a variety of therapeutic uses and benefits. These benefits include managing pain, trigger point release, improving tissue function, range of motion, and movement patterns. These benefits can assist in speeding up recovery, autonomic nervous system balancing, and down-regulating. This training will encompass a variety of models by taking a plunge into the myofascial, muscular, skeletal, respiratory, and nervous systems. We will practice and apply the therapeutic tools mentioned above, and exercises to encourage effortless movement, a deeper understanding of the relationship of our parts, and a unique opportunity for change and transformation. It is through this journey of awareness we begin to understand deeply hidden, unconscious patterns, habits, and mindsets. Yoga Teachers, Body Workers, PTs, OTs, Personal Trainers, Therapists, all types of movement instructors, and anyone interested in digging into the fascial system and how we can improve pain, tension, and movement patterns are welcome to join!

Jen Mast
Jen completed her 300-hour at Kripalu with Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) in 2016 where she trained under Joseph and Lillian LePage and Maria Mendola (Integrative Functional Yoga Therapy). Jen furthered her study and attended an intensive training with Maria in Tucson, learning various techniques for myofascial release, therapeutic movements and exercises to rebalance alignment and long held patterns. In 2018, Jen completed training in The Roll Model Method® and a Ball Rolling Techniques Workshop with David Vendetti – both for myofascial release. Her extensive work with athletes, injuries and chronic illness in both group and private settings inform her teaching style which infuses safety, mindfulness, alignment principles, unique uses of props and functional therapeutic movements, and of course a lot of humor and fun! Through the pandemic, Jen has continued to train and deepen her own practice with Susi Hately, Functional Synergy™ and a Monthly Mentor Workshop with Jill Miller, Roll Model Method™.
Amy Yapp
When Amy first tried a yoga class as a busy school teacher many years ago, she decided it “wasn’t for her”. Ten years later and recovering from some serious health challenges, she decided to give yoga another try. When she walked away standing taller and breathing better, she knew she had found something integral to her healing and to her future.
A born teacher, Amy couldn’t help sharing what she had experienced with others and began teaching yoga in 2003. Amy completed her 200-hour teacher training with Johnny Gillespie of Empowered Yoga. She has studied myofascial release with David Vendetti and became certified in The Roll Model Method in 2017.
Most recently, Amy completed the three year IAYT Yoga Therapy Program with Susi Hately and became an accredited Yoga Therapist. As part of this program Amy studied with Ann Douglas and became certified in a form of Yoga Nidra called Rest and Revitalization Sleep Meditation. Amy is a certified Reiki practitioner and teaches yoga and meditation in both group and 1:1 settings.
Amy is passionate about helping people find their own unique path to wellness. Always focused on healing and prevention, she empowers her students to go at their own pace and listen to their inner voice. Fun and connection are at the heart of every class!
