Sammy Brown

sammySammy Brown Goodrich
Sammy’s first yoga class was in a trailer classroom at a local public school in 2001. Recovering from a herniated disk that left her barely able to walk, she was the grateful student of a kind and supportive teacher. Yoga offered her a way to return to optimal health through breath and posture. Sammy completed her teacher training with Rolf Gates in 2009 and has been teaching in studios in Eastern MA for the past 9 years. She is currently training in the Shambhala tradition of meditation and is a Level 2 Reiki practitioner. Sammy teaches a flowing style of yoga with emphasis on the breath and alignment. It is her hope that practice becomes an expression for how students want to live, that what feels good in practice will manifest in their lives. Sammy is the mother of three children and the founder of, which currently sponsors a young woman in Rwanda through Women for Women International.
