Tween Yoga (Ages 8 – 11)
Wednesdays @ 5 – 6pm w/ Jaime Andrews
4 or 5-week sessions with 1 “Bring a Friend For Free Date” which also serves as 1 allowed makeup date*. Only kids pre-registered for the entire series may attend the Bring a Friend For Free Date/makeup date.

This is a beginner series for tweens.  No prior experience is necessary.  During the series, students are encouraged to develop self-awareness through the inquiry of the yoga experience including breathing techniques, yoga postures and meditation.  By practicing in this way, yogis learn tools for self-care and self-regulation that can help with handling challenges in their daily lives.  We begin to explore yoga philosophy through discussion to give additional perspective to the practice.  Young yogis will be challenged with a more structured asana practice.  Games are included to help balance difficulties in cultivating concentration and calm.  If you have any questions about this group please reach out and we can help with the placement of your tween into a class that will engage and fulfill them.

We are very excited to offer updated age groups and class formats for our Young Yogis!
We have reorganized age groups, and we are now offering shorter series.  We are also thrilled to introduce one extra date at the end of each series that will be a “Bring A Friend For Free” class!  This extra class will also serve as a make-up date if your child misses a class* during a series.

IMPORTANT: Please note we have updated our policy for missed classes.
We have built in 1 designated make-up date for each series.  If your child misses a class, they are entitled to make up 1 class on that designated date at the end of the series they are registered for.  There will be no refunds, credits or additional make-up classes for any reason if your child misses more than 1 class per series.

Jaime Andrews
Jaime has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. She is personal trainer, fitness instructor and wellness coach. After years of working one-on-one with clients, she recognized that the key to success was more about the mind than the body, so she returned to school to get her master’s degree in counseling psychology. After graduating, she expanded her services to include kids yoga to help children manage their stress through breathing, movement and meditation. She will be completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training this summer with an organization called Breathe for Change. Jaime’s approach to health and wellness truly encompasses the mind, body and soul.
